Mr. Kabelo Lanka holds an MSc in Project Management from the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom (UK), a Bachelor of Engineering Honours Degree (Civil and Construction Engineering) from the Curtin University of Technology in Australia, and a Diploma in Water and Environmental Engineering from the University of Botswana. He also has taken part in several professional programmes including completion of Management Development Programme (MDP) from the University of Stellenbosch Business school.
Mr. Lanka is a competent Professional Engineer (PrEng) registered with Engineers Registration Board and Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with extensive knowledge and experience in Project Planning, Execution, Monitoring, and Control and close out on both small and large-scale engineering projects. He worked in a project environment for over 12 years in the public service. Prior to joining BOL, Kabelo held various positions in various Ministries, including that of Project Manager, Senior Civil Engineer, and Technician.
Mr. Lanka handled various projects throughout his career including the North-South Career (NSC 2.2) Water Transfer Pipeline (Planning and Procurement Phase), Chobe Zambezi Water Transfer Scheme Review and Optimisation and Project Procurement Strategy, Lesotho Highlands-Botswana Water Transfer Desktop Study, Design and Build Works Contract for Cross Boarder Water Supply (Middlepits Cluster), and lastly the Paje-Serowe Connection to Morupule Water Supply Project (Execution Phase).
Kabelo joined BOL as Project Engineer in June 2021. He is currently the Senior Manager - Project Management Office.
